Group Membership
Anyone buying an IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver course will automatically become an Associate member of the St. Helens Group for 12 months. If you pass your test before the 12 months is up you will become a full member and your Group membership subscription becomes due the following April - except if you join our January course where your subscriptions to the Group are due in April the year after. With ongoing membership you have access to our team of Observers, a monthly newsletter and access to our group meetings at the ibis hotel Haydock. We have a number of social events, which sometimes attract an additional charge, announced in the newsletter and in the Events pages of this Website. Keep a look out.
Group subscriptions
SHGAM membership fall due in April each year. Reminders will be sent out close to the time where required.
The current costs for membership of SHGAM for all members is:
Full Member - £8.50
Honorary Member - Free
Honorary Members are elected following Committee discussion and relates to service to the Group or service as a Committee Member / Observer.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is an easy way to boost the income the MYAM group receives. We can claim back the tax you have paid on your donation (25p for every £1 you pay for your subscription) through Gift Aid. This is how we can keep your subscriptions to a minimum.
As soon as you give your permission by completing a Gift Aid declaration form, we can claim the tax back on your donation. If you have not completed a Gift Aid declaration form already please download the form by clicking on the link below, fill in and e-mail our Treasurer Stephen Dumont (Contact Us) who will provide you with a postal address to send the form to.
