Trainee Observer Resources

This page hold the necessary documents required by a MYAM Group Trainee Observer.  The links below will download the relevant document direct from the IAM RoadSmart website.

We are always on the lookout for new Observers and welcome anyone wishing to volunteer.  We have a great team of Observers who meet regularly at our Skill Check and Social events where we often have open discussions about current issues.  If you are considering becoming an Observer download this Observer Training Note, which gives a full run down of what would be required to get qualified.

For Trainee Local Observers:-

• MYAM Observer Training Guide – This guide provided the basis for Observer Training, split into 3 distinct sections, The Guide for New Observers, New Observer Training Programme and Associate Guidance Programme.

• Observer Qualification and Assessment Manual – The main pages you will need are 8-43

• Progress Summary Sheet – This is the document completed by the Local Observer Assessor recording your progress and for issue to the IAM for their records.
