York Advanced Drivers are a local charity affiliated to IAM RoadSmart. Our mission is to promote ROAD SAFETY at every opportunity. With our members - new & current we demonstrate driving skill with responsibility - adding consideration, thinking and skill in preparation for the Advanced Driving Test, Fellowship, Masters, and continued safe driving.

Distraction: the enemy of action
The daily commute can often get repetitive and could tempt you to look to your car for entertainment. A favourite song may come to mind or even the thought of calling someone from a hand held mobile phone to pass time. Let the all-nighters begin
Freshers’ week is beginning for many, and students are going to be making their way north, south, east and west to begin their higher education. For some this will be the longest journey they’ve ever driven, to a new area, with a car fully laden with all their worldly goods.
