You don’t need to buy the full advanced driving or riding course – you can sign up for a FREE taster session and get a hands-on experience of what the course is about.The free taster session lasts around an hour. It is a relaxed and enjoyable experience with the opportunity to ask questions.
You'll gain some new ideas and skills, plus get a feel for whether the full Advanced course is right for you.
You must have a full licence and your own vehicle.

Our Young Driver Skills Day, hosted on 22nd August 2024, is a chance for 17–30-year-olds to learn new skills and gain additional driving knowledge through a thrilling half day experience at Thruxton circuit.The day consists of multiple experiences, allowing you to develop your driving skills in a range of vehicles and terrain which you may not have experienced before!
Learn more about car control, try out new techniques on circuit and off-road, all under the guidance of IAM RoadSmart driving experts and surrounded by like-minded drivers.
